Whaley House Museum:

This is the most haunted place in all of America, where more than 30 spirits are said to be inhabiting this nineteenth-century house. These spirits include the former inhabitants, Thomas Whaley and his wife Anna, their great-granddaughter Marion and their pet fox terrier named Dolly Varden. The footsteps of heavy boots can be heard through the house, which is said to be that of Yankee Jim Robinson. During the Halloween season, they allow extended hours after sundown so that visitors can experience the truly haunted feels.

Davis-Horton House:

This 164-year old Victorian House is said to be the oldest building in Downtown San Diego. Once a private residence to Alonzo Horton, this wooden house also has a history of serving as a makeshift hospital back in the day. The patients who died within the walls of this hospital are said to be still around in the form of spirits and ghosts. Also, the apparition of Anna Scheper, a former resident, has been seen upon the stairs looming in the darkness.

Room 11 of this two-story cosmopolitan Hotel is supposed to be frequented by Ysidora's ghost, the youngest daughter of the owner, who fell down from the balcony of this room while trying to watch a procession parade.
